In our latest Pulse survey, we asked 5,126 physicians worldwide about their views on their role in developing new treatments. Here’s how important they believe it is for physicians to participate in clinical research and market research:
A majority of 67% believe that their participation in clinical trials, market research, and product testing is very important, emphasising their involvement ensures new treatments are both safe and effective. This sentiment underscores the value of physicians’ clinical expertise in shaping therapies that meet real-world patient needs and scenarios.
27% of respondents regard their input as important, but do not believe it significantly improves treatment outcomes and patient care. These physicians recognise their firsthand experience and insights can lead to the development of more practical and effective medical solutions.
A smaller percentage, 5%, remained neutral, suggesting the importance of physician involvement may vary depending on individual expertise and available resources. Less than 1% think physicians’ involvement in clinical trials and market research is either somewhat important or not really important.
